Our Participants
Each week over 100 young people attend our FooTEA clubs. Your support ensures that we can continue to strengthen and grow our FootTEA programmes. Please donate here.
"My mum and dad found out about FooTEA. It was a surprise for me, and I come every Thursday to play with my friends. I went to Hopscotch and we went swimming and told each other scary stories ─ I was really happy that I went on that because I've never really done anything like that before"
"I get really excited for a Thursday. At home I sometimes get bored so there is something for me to do at FooTEA. I don't really exaggerate or anything ─ it's just a really good club. My favourite thing is the football as it is fun to play with other people."
"Kids like George and Favour come along together to MC FooTEA, and they are encouraging their friends and family to get involved. This helps us to connect to and support more young people in communities that are often harder to engage with."
MC FooTEA club is just one example of the Youth Work programmes that we deliver at The Academy and in the local community, supporting young people in North Edinburgh.
