Learning how to handle emotions

"I came to the Alternative School when my guidance teacher told me about it. I didn’t want to come at first, but I gave it a go. It’s different to school – Kari (PE Teacher) understands me and she helps me to deal with my anger. I can now keep my anger in and take it on the chin. The hardest thing was for me to stop acting like the kids when I was helping out doing PE at the primary schools. Now I am more confident, and I can be in charge of a class. The Spartans Community Football Academy made me realise what I wanted to do and I’m going to study sports coaching at college."

“In his two years with The Academy, Daniel completed his National 3 Maths, National 4 English, First Aid Certificate and NVQ Steps into Work Programme. We are all very proud of him and wish him all the best for the future.”
